For facilities, social workers & families

Refer a resident, and we take it from there

A resident is leaving your building, or someone you care for needs help at home. Tell us who they are and what their situation is, and Gilgalcare finds approved, background-checked caregivers whose credentials and location actually fit.

  1. 1

    You send the referral

Who is being referred, their situation, what they need and by when. Two minutes, and it does not have to be polished.

  2. 2

    A person reads it

Gilgalcare reviews it the same day, and comes back with any question that matters before we match.

  3. 3

The caregiver who arrives knows the case

We match on what this resident needs — the credential, the lift, the hours, the distance — and only send someone whose check has cleared. You should not have to screen anyone we send you.

  4. 4

The referral does not end at the first visit

The first week tells you whether it is working. Call us with what you are seeing and we change the caregiver, the hours or the days — the referral stays open until the person is settled.

Discharge tomorrow, or a question about whether we cover your area?

Sending as a resident referral

You are referring a resident or a loved one for care.

No charge, and no obligation. A person at Gilgalcare reads it and comes back to you.

What we can take on

  • ✓Residents leaving a hospital, a rehab unit or a skilled nursing stay.
  • ✓Older adults who want to stay in their own home rather than move.
  • ✓Personal care, companionship, meal preparation and errands.
  • ✓Skilled nursing visits, therapy at home and hospice support.
  • ✓Transportation to dialysis, therapy or a doctor’s appointment and home again.

Why referring through Gilgalcare is different

A background check stands in the way

No caregiver is put forward for a placement before a screening company has run and returned a check.

Credentials are read by a person

What a caregiver holds is reviewed against what the role asks for — not matched on keywords.

Nothing is public

A profile stays private until Gilgalcare approves it, so the person you are placing is never sent to a stranger.
